So I've been tagged by Rhondi to tell six quirks and tag three. Here it goes.
My first attempt at this proved futile because so many of my quirks (coffee, chocolate, ranch dressing, hospital documentaries) have flown the coo-coo's nest since the pregnancy. I had to dig deeper.
Please do not judge me for my neurosis.
1. I’m picky about hitting bumps in my car. Speed bumps are my favorite because it is an all-wheel contact bump. Pot holes are my least. I hate it when my right tire bumps on a spot in the road, and my left doesn’t. Like it bothers my true sense of tire equality and balance. Help me. There’d better be a pothole or something I can bump my opposite tire on soon or I get irritated. This has happened for as long as I can remember, even riding with my mom in the car. My poor mother.
2. I cannot leave the house or go to bed if the living room is not in order. Couch pillows fluffed with zippers facing down, ottoman righted, t.v. armoire closed, controllers on the tray, doggie toys all put up in there bucket, and blankets hidden. If Ben stays up later than I do, I do all of this as soon as I get up the next morning. Thank goodness I have a small living room.
3. I consistently crave things I cannot have. I think this is some sort of self-inflicted torture. The huevos rancheros and homemade tortillas at that place in Tx my gramps always goes. The fried noodles at the mom and pop place where we lived in Japan. My mom's lasagna (coincidentally also now in Japan), the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs on top (I promise, it's heaven) that my brother in law would make at Huddle House... the list is long.
4. If at home, I must eat my icecream out of a coffee mug.
5. I hate Tupperware. With an unbridled passion.
6. I spray down the kitchen counters and island every day. Even if I didn’t cook. You would think this would keep them clean. Somehow it doesn’t.
I tag Heather, Jan, and Lindsley!
