He's three days old, and I cannot get over the fact that a bulldog is at one point that tee-niny!
Lu and David will be welcoming the newest bully ( I know, right now he kind of looks like a little rat-piglet or something, but you just wait!) in about 6 weeks. So Max is getting a brother, and Stormy is getting another cousin to chase around the yard. It will be big fun when they all get together now, especially if we get the golden retriever we are hoping to foster soon!
On the other side of the family, my sister and her crew have welcomed a beautiful little lab boy, so the family just keeps getting furrier and furrier. I love it. Oh gosh, if we could only get all 5 of these guys together in the yard! PAR~TAY!
Here is a picture she sent me the day they brought him home... look at that face!
Check out their blog soon for more pics!
This weekend we are headed to the 'Ham for Ben's brother's graduation, and next weekend Ben is taking a little trip to Vegas for a 'boys weekend' with both of his brothers, so once again life has become beautifully busy.
So before we got busy again, Ben and I took some time out yesterday to go one a little date and do some shopping. While Ben almost walked away from Best Buy with a 46" plasma, I almost walked away with this dress from one of my favorite boutiques ( if the picture were bigger you would see tiny black polka dots):
I don't typically ooh and ahh over dresses, but this one just did something for me. I think it is one of those dresses that makes you remember summer is more than half way over, and you aren't quite ready to give up the opportunity to buy a fun flirty dress. I forced myself to walk away yesterday, but I have this sneaky feeling that I will be going by after work this afternoon to try it on.Lastly, because you know I never do anything without somehow incorporating food, this blog would not be complete without me mentioning my latest craving for ribs and bbq. Really random. Me craving meat does not usually happen. (My sister and her skinny self on the other hand, can put away a rack of ribs or t-bone steak like you've never seen. I somehow got the lovely ice cream craving gene that more rapidly appears on the hips and thighs. We live in an unfair world, people.)
Since the grillmasters Dad and Gramps are too far away to help with the latest crave, I have been on the hunt for something that will tame my latest tastebud beast.
So I have to tell you about this place called Kirkenburts in Murfreesboro. Good, good stuff. They don't have a website, but they are on Cason Lane, next to the movie theater. If you are ever around that area and want a really good Texas brisket platter, go see them. And I hear their ribs are dynomite, so I will be checking that out soon too.
Love, food, and furry family members!

go buy the dress :)
So, I must say the picture of your newest in-law is a little frightening! I thought it was one of those pictures imposed on a picture. It's hard to believe that bull dogs start out that...ummm...not so precious:)
I agree with Audra...buy the dress!!!
OMG the puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the puppy bug lately... which doesn't make sense because I have Sammy & Fritz at my disposal and Fritz won't let you sit down without insisting on being in your lap... But there's just something about baby critters that just melts my heart. I hope the fostering goes well for you guys! I'd be so terrified that I'd get too attached and wouldn't be able to let them go... Blake would LOVE that... :o)
Oh... and buy the dress!
And tell Ben to go to Wal-Mart & check out this LCD tv:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9252217
Blake bought it a few months ago and it's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! LCD 1080p is the way to go.
CostCo has that tv sometimes too... but you have to have a membership... not sure if you guys have CostCo up there..
