the 4th

Here are a few shots of K's first 4th... we had a sweet sweet day just hanging out as a family.

We went on a picnic at the park, grabbed a few sno cones, and later that afternoon went to a friends house to celebrate with hamburgers, hotdogs, corn, and watermelon... grilled corn on the cob is my latest obsession. We've had it more times than I can count this summer, and I don't plan on slowing down any time soon. Gobble gobble.

We also graduated to the big pool this weekend- we went to float around with Amber, and this little chick loved it. She loved it so much she actually napped in her float for an hour and a half. (Safety first, I was side by side with her on my float- awake- the entire time, don't worry)

She also went under for the first time. I almost couldn't do it, but I toughened up, blew in her face, and plunk she went.

"Hey Mom, what's up...wait, why are you bobbing me up and down and counting?"

"You got my HAIR WET!!!"

"This is what she does to me, people."

She actually took it like a champ.. she yelled for one second, and stopped. Not too traumatizing. She actually screamed the most when we finally took her out of the water. We may just have a future fish on our hands!
