The Final Verdict

Sonograms are officially the coolest thing ever!

Ben and I got to spend almost an hour this afternoon watching our little one move around, get the hiccups, and absolutely refuse to cooperate (I could not stop laughing. It was hilarious) while the poor woman trying to do the sonogram and take measurements of the arms, legs, kidneys, and other tiny things while the baby did what looked like a perfect gymnastic routine inside of my womb.

But, enough about that- here's the first official profile and headshot of the rambunctious one!

First, let me say that the doctor used the word 'perfect' with our child! The first A+; you know I was glowing with pride.

Actually, I think I was glowing with peace. More than anything I have prayed for healthy development, and everything that comes along with it. I will admit I was very anxious all day today knowing that we would finally get to see how everything was maturing and developing. When our awesome doctor was giving us the report from the ultrasound, she said we couldn't ask for anything better. Praise our Sweet Lord! He is an awesome God.

Everything is right on target, and other than the fact that I can't really feel the baby move a whole lot because my placenta has manuevered itself in between my womb and the front of my abdomen (which may be a good thing considered all the cartwheels I saw today!) and acts like a shock absorber, which she assured me would not last much longer, we are good to go.
