Expect the Unexpected

So much writing to do. So few free minutes. I'm about to blast these babies out before I forget what year it is. First off, BABA CAME FOR A VISIT!
Totally unexpected.
Mom called in early summer and asked if we had any plans around the first week of August. And let me tell you, no plans would have stood in the way of us enjoying a surprise visit from Mom. Because typically these don't happen unless a) someone is pregnant (NO), b) someone is having major surgery (again, no). This time she was able to come just absolutely to see family and relax and have fun. And boy did we! You can also see her pics from her trip here!

Candy Land.

Sweet loves.

And, without a doubt, ICE CREAM!

Love this. :)

It was great timing actually, because Baba was able to be here while Alayna decided to get her first ear infection (a double, at that) and then have an allergic reaction to medication- so, they got to hang out at the house, rest, and get a solid chunk of quality time in. Thanks, Mom :)

Mom brought the completed infamous Baba quilt, and it hasn't left Blondie's crib since. I'm not sure what she sews into those blankets of love, but I swear the babies sleep better with them.

We went to the farmer's market, played in the fountains, cooked dinner, drank wine, went out for a great girls night with some friends, so many sweet memories, I just loved having her here!

After a week at our house we took a road trip down to Heather's for the weekend, and had a great time shopping, eating and just hanging out with the crew. And, we attempted a few group shots.

That's always a success.

We had a cook out one evening. Baba had to show Bo who's grill boss.

Someone LOVED their Heddur.

And K has a mad love for Aunt Gingerbread too.

I have so many pictures of this visit, but I could make this one week into a novel. It was that fun.

Love you, Momma!!

PS- COME BACK!!!!!
:)
