Said it before and I'll say it again. YAY for camera phones. They capture a lot of life for us these days.
Like the first trip to the circus! And a little girl currently obsessed with picking out hair accessories. Rockin' it. :)
When asked what her favorite part was, she said the 'baby' (miniature) horse. Alayna said her favorite part was finally passing out after trying to steal the funnel cake and follow all the flashing lights all at once.
Grandmama came for a visit! She kept us well fed, and well loved.
And quickly realized that now that Layna is on full fledged baby food three times a day, our healthy little big girl means business when it's meal time. You do not break out a bib in this house unless you are good and ready to feed the baby beast. Because she is none too patient when it comes to hunger. (Ben says she comes by it honestly; I have no idea what he's talking about.)
Huh? Me?
We had to say goodbye to the beautifully huge poplar in our front yard. It was a sad sad day, but we thought it falling on our house because of the rot that had taken over and weakened it may be a little more sad, we decided to have it taken down.
Watching the big truck pick up the big tree. So intrigued.
We changed our road trip and child loading lives, and bought a minivan.
If you have kids, and you have one, then you know what I mean when I say... Ahhhhhhh. SO nice!!
Kaelyn jumped in after we bought it, and after I buckled her up, her eyes got wide, she sighed, and said, "MOM, I love it in this new place!". Which is awesome because I'm pretty sure 16 years from now she'll be driving it.
We enjoyed the milder weather outside and had fun on the backyard swing. So much fun we fell asleep.
Sweet girl.
Sweet Cheeks down there tried out a sippy cup for the first time today, which she loved. It mostly involved banging and chewing on the handle, but still. It's all about the experience.
And as of last Monday, our six month old is (get ready)
19 lbs., 2 oz., 27 1/2 inches long... which equals to 96th percentile in the all-around category. In other words, about the size of some one-year olds.
Quickest to smile and giggle love bucket of a baby we ever have seen.
There is more laundry, more love, more dishes, more laughter, more coffee, and more joy to life than I ever could have imagined.
Good stuff. :)
