Life as we know it

We're changing, folks.

Part of me is sad to see the baby stuff go, and part of me is excited to see the changes coming.

Part of me aches for the time when Kaelyn let me rock her to sleep and cuddled on my shoulder, and part of me adores the fact that we read a story, say our prayer, and after she says "Maa-men!!" (Amen!) she reaches for her bed and talks to herself in her crib until she falls asleep.

I put away the Bumbo, the Sleepy Wrap, and the burp cloths. We got out the forks, spoons, and toddler toys.

We are.....

Done.

Determined. (helllllp meeeee)

And, we have a ...

Destinantion Vacation!

So, we are dreading (sort of):

Suggestions for flying solo with a toddler, anyone?

Hmmm, I could write a book on traveling with a toddler. If you are potty training Kaelyn by then, definitely fly with a pull-up on. Don't curse yourself by even trying it with big girl pants on during the flight.
Snacks, snacks & more snacks.
Portable DVD player is your savior.
If she wants an "airplane drink", then ask for a lid for the cup. If not, it will wind up on the passenger sitting next to you guys. Lovely.
Books.
Stickers!
Coloring Books.
And for YOU---don't drink anything that entire morning before the flight b/c it is not fun going pee with a toddler on your lap in that pinhead they call a bathroom. Shoot me.
Have fun!

good luck flying! Zaden's always done great, Kellam's never set foot on a plane! Are you potty training her already? Doesn't seem like she can be that old! My...time flies!

Suggestion for flying with a toddler: Just invest in a portable DVD Player, or borrow one from a friend! That and a new Yo Gabba Gabba DVD will keep you from tearing your eye balls out. Love ya!
