walkin' on sunshine

I can't get enough of these beautiful sunny days! They just make for good times.

Last weekend we headed to the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival. It was a perfect day to be outside, and we had so much fun. We got there just in time to see the drums, and I called my sister so she could hear them, while I may or may not have cried a little behind my sunglasses. What. Drum beats move me, okay?

(Ok. If for some random reason you're reading this blog and have no idea why you all of the sudden sense that I am emotionally attached to this drum thing, then first, nice to meet you, and second, I lived in Japan for a little over seven years and in many senses it is home, and I tend to maybe get a little homesick and miss some of it every once in a while. Especially since my parents and rugrat little brothers are still over there. Oh, and I'm just a cry baby.)

Kaelyn was interested at first, and then she noticed that there were dogs.

Dear heaven, with her and the dogs.

This one she kept calling "Ss-Tuh!!" which is her version of Stormy, repeated in our house a minimum of 1200 times a day. Black fur, friendly, she dug this dog.

This one she wasn't so sure about at first. Dirty blondes must not be her type. But it didn't take long.  "Ma'am, would you mind if I grabbed your dogs little wet black nose again? It's my fav."

And, this is big. I mean huge.
We got her on the grass for over .5 seconds. We're making progress!!

And I also had the bright idea to 'snap a quick pic' for Easter to send out to the family.
Yeah.
That worked out well.

"Oh, Mom, you mean you want me to stay put? FUNNY!"

"Smile? I'll give you you're stinkin' smile."

"I know. This is a joke."

"MAKE A RUN FOR IT!!!!!"

And lastly,

"Could someone  PLEASE GET ME OUT OF THE BUNNY EARS??"

It's amazing what a little sunshine will do for your child's energy level.
Wowzers.

=)
