That was then:

This is now:
(Photo of full room edited is completely intentional. It's Saturday, I cleaned the floors, and stopped there because FoodTV sucked me in, which made me want to try new recipes, which made me have to make my grocery list, and it just went downhill from there.)
So, we have transformed the inside of our house yet again. The color is perfect, we love it. It's very vintage/fresh/serene-ish. Happy momma.
And I would also like to make a public apology to the wonderful men at Sherwin Williams who so graciously assisted and put up with me having a mild panick attack, but I'm going to stop there. It was between friends. And a can of paint.
While we were at it (and by it I mean painting not only the living room, but the hallway (PAIN), and kitchen) we decided to spice up the dining room walls a little too:
I don't think you can really tell in pictures, but it's a suede-textured paint, and it's so fun. A little bit of wow. So that's what else we were up to over the winter break. We being Ben and winter break being something I haven't had since college. So basically he did 95% of the work, while I moved drop cloth and helped texturize one dining room wall before going to bed one night. We're a great team ;) And have serious issues with constant home renovations. We're trying to quit, I swear.
Here's Kaelyn this morning helping Ben with schoolwork. Two seconds after this was taken she reached in, grabbed his checkbook, and took off. I think Ben said something along the lines of ' I have just seen into my future'.
=)
Have a serene weekend! xoxo dae
