I Need to Confirm This Feeling

This past weekend Ben and I had company come in from B'ham. Our great friends Josh and Susan were here, and we had a the best time hanging out, the boys stayed up til 3am playing Xbox360 (a throwback to their college days), and going to see the lights at Opryland. Susan and I also had a great time swapping impregnated stories and experiences, since she is 7 weeks further along than I am. I was so bummed we managed to get not one single picture while they were here.
But if you do have time this season to go check out the 2 million lights at Opryland Hotel, I highly recommend it! I tried to convince the guys to go see the Rockets too, but that didn't fly.

We also took a few profile update shots this week. Oh yes, ladies and gentleman, I'm pudgin'.

The same day this was taken, I was sitting on the couch, and after calling my sister and 2 friends with half a dozen questions to clarify what it was I thought I was feeling ( I mean, let's be honest, you do kind of have to rule out a few other possible things, and ladies you know what I'm talking about), I turned to Ben and said " Hey. Babe. So I'm pretty sure... I felt the baby move...!!"
It was kind of this quiet, surreal moment for me. For about a half a second. I think I was in a tiny bit of shock. Then Ben whips around and looks at me, "SHUT UP!! Nuh uh?!!? You did? How awesome is that?!??!" Precious. It was another exciting moment.
I think I was grinning from ear to ear for most of the rest of the evening, even while I watched that scene on Grey's when Alex had to explain to his hypochondriac patient what happens when your stomach doesn't have enough 'good bacteria' and where the good bacteria has to come from. Eww.

Happy Friday my friends. Here's to baby flutters and beautiful weekends!

Oh yea, baby movements are SO fun! Just wait till you can lay on the floor and watch your stomach move around...that's weird! Glad everything's going well, and if it makes you feel better, I was WAY bigger at 18 weeks than you are...you look great! I am excited to hear what you're having!
