A Christmas List

The ever-inspiring and crafty Courtney tagged me to divulge a little info on what Christmas looks like here at the White House.
Here' goes...

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Usually paper (this year I think I am making my own! Kinda excited). And I like all presents to have some sort of coordinated theme. Not necessarily all the same paper. Just matching.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Real. As dictated by Ben.

3. When do you put up the tree? Right after Thanksgiving. It has become a tradition for Ben and I to go shopping all over town for it together to find the right one. I want to put out everything now, but I have this stubborn side that says it isn't fair to the turkey. Go figure.

4. When do you take the tree down? We attempt to around New Years. Last year we were a week or so late.

5. Do you like eggnog? Only when my mom makes it. Everything else I have tried is nasty.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I have no idea. My list would take forever.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Probably my brother Ian, because I cannot keep up with which fashion trend is in right now, and he usually has everything cool anyways!

8. Easiest person to buy for? My nephews. It just has to have an action figure on it.

9. Do you have a Nativity scene? Yes... I love it. Its the Willow Tree one and it took me 4 years to collect it all.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Neither at the moment, horrible, I know. Probably mail after we have a baby to start taking pictures of!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I got a pair of socks one time, I can't remember from who, but apparently whatever they were made of I was allergic to. I itched like crazy but felt too guilty to get rid of them for years.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? White Christmas with Bing Crosby

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I can remember...

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Anything made around family. But mostly fudge. My Mom, Granny, and Ben's mom all make killer fudge. I am a lucky girl.

16. Lights on the tree? Is there any other way?? Colored.

17. Favorite Christmas song? I have no idea. That's like asking me what my favorite food is.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We travel, swapping which side of the family every year. This year we are headed to Savannah.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen & Rudolph! (Okay.... So I just copied Courtney. )

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Antique tin angel... love it.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? One on Christmas Eve, the rest as soon as our feet hit the floor Christmas morning.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? That it goes too fast.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Ben and I started collecting the reindeer personalized ones when we dated.. and we both have some that we made when we were kids. Our tree has no color scheme, and the theme is solely memories and family. Unwrapping and hanging the ornaments is a sweet event for us.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? No clue. For some reason all I can come up with right now are our Thanksgiving dishes (blame pregnancy brain). But I have been looking through all of my Southern Living, Country Home, Paula Deen, and family recipes to figure out what recipes I want to start as our Christmas dinner tradition.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A camera. And no stretch marks.

26. Who is most likely to respond to this? Dunno.

27. Does Santa wrap your gift or leave them unwrapped? Santa not wrapping gifts would be wrong in so many ways.

I tag Jan and Heather
