Our pumpkin up there is two weeks old today. Craziness. I'm not sure how we lucked out on getting another dreamy baby, but we definitely did. Eating like a champ, already a shopper extraordinaire (we raise 'em right here - food and shopping), went to church and acted like a lady, and is letting us get some sleep.
I mean, how lucky am I?
There's been the expected adjustment phase for us, and big sister, with a few funny stories to tell when she gets older (think hot pink marker, a sneaky toddler not wanting to nap, and being in her room by herself. There was not a surface unadorned with her art...) but all in all nothing that alarmed us too much :) And like everything else in life, it was a fast moving phase too. We may actually be able to handle this whole parenting two kids thing.... just maybe. (Well, um, we, with the addition of my Mom. If I had to pay for the therapy and calming force she has been for me I would be extremely, extremely broke. We'll see how I fare when she leaves me!)
Adjustments and all, I had started praying for a special relationship for these sisters from the moment I found out they would have each other, and no exaggeration when I say that the adoration and love is definitely already there.
Kaelyn does not start her morning until Alayna gets a kiss and she makes sure she is good to go.
And speaking of going, we have been doing a lot of that lately too, and having so much fun!!
Mom's visits are always too short, so we enjoy them to the fullest. Whether it's going out or staying in and watching a good movie, I cherish the minutes. Kaelyn has a pretty darn good time with her too :). See?
Getting ready for the train. We are alllll about trains right now.
She was so excited, and yelled "All ABOARD!!!!!!!" like it was her duty in life, and she owned it. When we passed the zebra's she made sure to tell them to look at her! She was riding the choo choo train!
I stinking love that girl.
Uh, speaking of stink... check out this face when she walked up to the petting zoo-
Mom and I died. Kaelyn just looked at us and put her hand up to her nose, saying "Shoowweee!!"
And moving on with the stink theme, lastly, it was time to wash it all off.
Last week was Baby A's first bath- again, total girl. She loved it!
Now excuse me while I just go eat those cheeks.
It was a fun family affair!
The finishing touch - had to make sure to put her lotion on!
