Catching Up Randomly

I am behind on posting random tidbits of our day to day life, so here is a little play-back!
First, the apparent hormone surge and changing tastebuds have thrown me for a loop. Here is a perfect example:

Two months ago I hated okra. You could not force me to eat it no matter how it was served. Gross and slimy were the only two words I would use to describe it. So why when I was at a vegetable stand did I think it was a good idea to buy a pound of fresh okra? No clue. (Other than knowing that Ben really loves it... But it was already and understanding in our house that it would never be cooked. I didn't like the smell.) But I bought away.
So we get home and I think Ben got really excited when I started chopping away. I called my brother in law so he could tell me what in the world I needed to do with this stuff. Following his instructions, I attempted my first batch:
And half an hour later I was wondering why I had eaten half a bowl of fried okra. And why it was the best thing I had eaten all day. My poor brain was so confused...

We also had a visit from Max, Moose, and Ben's mom a few weeks ago. We had a blast, especially watching these three:

(I was wondering how 10 week old Moose would do hanging with the big dogs. As you can see, I had nothing to be worried about.)

And I'm not done with the topic of food yet-
You need to go out and buy this right now. (Mom, I am stockpiling some away in the freezer for you until you get here!!)
You can't read it, but the description on the front says "Barnie's White Christmas flavored coffee icecream with cappuccino-chocolate chunks".
The White Christmas flavored coffee from Barnie's is out of this world, but to now be put in an icecream tub?!?! Hubba hubba.

And finally, Chris came to visit us this weekend. When I walked in from work, this enormous thing was on my kitchen counter:

Apparently Ben and Chris won their fantasy football league, and their team (ahem, "Crimson Nation") got the trophy this year. This is a serious accomplishment, ya'll:

Oh yeah, we're serious about the size of our trophies here at the White house.

Later =)

Try and get a pose of Ben next time where he doesn't look so gay.
Did his parents get another bulldog? A family after my own heart...
